Building Jynio to make language learning actually stick

Valentin Hervouet is the founder of Jynio, an online language tutoring marketplace. He works with tutors on both sides of the platform, from recruitment and pricing to the mechanics of building a full-time teaching practice, which is the perspective behind his writing on tutoring as a career.

A multilingual speaker of French, English, Spanish, Chinese, and American Sign Language, he has spent years exploring what actually works in language acquisition beyond traditional methods. His approach is simple: learning should be practical, repeatable, and built into daily habits.

He is also the author of Chinese learning resources, including HSK-focused materials designed to help learners move from recognition to real usage.

Through Jynio, Valentin builds tools that combine spaced repetition, habit design, and real-world usage to help learners stay consistent, motivated, and actually remember what they learn.
