I’m an international tutor from Nigeria with a background in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and software development. I’ve spent over three years teaching students across different countries and curricula, including HKDSE, GCSE, IGCSE, Cambridge, A-Level and AP. I teach Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Science and English. Outside teaching, I enjoy technology, problem-solving and learning new skills. I’m naturally patient, curious and easy to talk to, so I try to make lessons feel focused without becoming intimidating. I especially enjoy working with students who know they can do better but need someone to make difficult topics finally make sense.
Teaching Experience
My lessons are structured around the individual student rather than a fixed script. I usually begin by checking what the student already understands, identifying the exact gaps or misconceptions, and agreeing on what we need to achieve in the lesson. I explain difficult ideas in clear steps, use worked examples and targeted questions, then gradually move the student towards solving problems independently. I regularly ask students to explain their reasoning because I want to know that they truly understand the concept rather than simply copying a method. For HKDSE, GCSE, IGCSE, Cambridge, A-Level and AP students, I combine concept teaching with exam technique, topic questions, past papers and detailed feedback. I pay close attention to repeated mistakes and show students how to recognise question patterns, organise their working and avoid losing marks unnecessarily. I work well with students who are struggling with confidence, students aiming for stronger exam grades, and learners who want regular long-term academic support. A typical class includes a short review, focused teaching, guided practice, independent questions and a clear summary of what the student should practise next.
