About
Hello! I'm Ricardo, a bilingual teacher from Bogotá, Colombia. I've been teaching for over 20 years, and I still love it as much as I did on my first day. I've lived and taught in both Colombia and the United States, which gave me a deep understanding of different cultures and learning styles. Outside of teaching, I'm passionate about spirituality, personal growth, and helping others. I also enjoy creating educational content and learning about new technologies. I believe that learning a language should feel natural and enjoyable, not stressful. When I'm not teaching, you'll probably find me reading, exploring new ideas, or spending time with my family. I'm a calm, patient person, and I love helping my students feel comfortable and confident when they speak.
Teaching Experience
My teaching approach is simple: I help you speak from day one. I don't believe in memorizing endless grammar rules or repeating sentences without context. I believe in real communication. In my classes, we focus on conversation, pronunciation, and practical vocabulary that you can use in real life. I adapt every lesson to your level, your goals, and your pace. If you're a beginner, we start with the basics in a calm, patient way. If you're more advanced, we work on fluency, accuracy, and natural expression. A typical class with me looks like this: we start with a warm-up conversation, then focus on a specific topic or skill, practice it together, and end with a clear summary of what you learned and what to practice before the next class. I teach English and Spanish to students of all ages, from children to adults. I'm patient, organized, and I genuinely care about your progress. My goal is not just to teach you a language — it's to help you enjoy the process and feel proud of how far you've come.
