Hi! I’m Kene from the Philippines. 😊 I’m a patient and friendly person who enjoys meeting people, learning about different cultures, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I’ve been teaching ASL and FSL for more than 10 years, and I truly enjoy helping people feel comfortable using sign language. Whether you’re completely new to ASL or already know some signs, I’m happy to practice with you and help you improve at your own pace. Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, taking photos, and volunteering in the Deaf community. I believe learning is more enjoyable when you can relax, have fun, and be yourself.
Teaching Experience
My lessons are relaxed, practical, and fun, with a focus on real communication. I adjust each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and learning style. For beginners, we start with basic signs, fingerspelling, vocabulary, and simple sentences. As you improve, we practice natural conversations, storytelling, and everyday situations. I also do role-plays, games, and fun activities to keep lessons interesting and engaging. I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes because that’s a natural part of learning. My goal is not only to teach you ASL, but also to help you build confidence, enjoy the learning process, and have fun while using ASL in real conversations.
