Hi! I'm Annamaria, a native Italian speaker from Italy with a passion for languages, cultures, and connecting with people from around the world. I hold a Master's degree in International Relations and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. I speak Italian, English, and Spanish, and I'm also learning German, so I understand both the excitement and the challenges of learning a new language! I spent a year living in the United States as an au pair, an experience that helped me develop my communication skills and deepen my interest in working with children. I also completed a HarvardX course in Early Childhood Development. Outside of work, I love reading, writing, traveling, and discovering different cultures. I'm friendly, patient, and curious, and I enjoy helping people feel comfortable and confident when communicating. I'd love to share not only the Italian language with you, but also the culture, expressions, and everyday life that make Italy special!
Teaching Experience
My goal is to create a friendly, supportive, and relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing Italian, asking questions, and making mistakes. I believe that learning a language should be both practical and enjoyable. My lessons will be adapted to your level, interests, and personal goals, whether you're starting from zero, preparing for a trip to Italy, or looking to improve your conversational skills. For beginners, I'd like to focus on useful everyday vocabulary, basic grammar, pronunciation, and simple conversations, building confidence step by step. For conversational lessons, we can discuss topics such as travel, food, culture, books, hobbies, and everyday situations, while working on vocabulary, pronunciation, and natural expressions. For younger learners, I'd like to use age-appropriate activities, stories, pictures, and interactive exercises to make learning engaging and enjoyable. I can also provide explanations in English or Spanish when needed. Above all, I want students to feel encouraged, listened to, and proud of their progress. Every learner is different, and I believe lessons should reflect that.
